Troy Baker, the Voice of Joel from The Last of Us, Was on the Set of the HBO Series and Gave His Opinion

MOVIE NEWS – The star of The Last of Us, Troy Baker, revealed that he has a role in HBO’s soon-to-be-started series starring Pedro Pascal and shared his experiences on the set.

Legendary video game voice actor, star of so many AAA games, Troy Baker has opened up about his role in HBO’s The Last of Us TV series and revealed that he actually had a chance to talk to live-action Joel Pedro Pascal.

Troy Baker played Joel in The Last of Us video games, he gave an unforgettable performance as Joel, and he is also responsible for making fans fall in love with the character. This was essential for the divisive sequel to work, and although his story has ended, it will be retold in HBO’s upcoming TV series.

The Mandalorian star Pedro Pascal will play Joel in this, and the adaptation is eagerly awaited. Recently, a first trailer was released, which definitely impressed, and fans welcomed the news that Barker will also be involved in the series.

Discussing his role as Batman in Batman and Superman: Battle of the Super Son, the actor revealed whether he was able to talk to Pascal and hypnotize his role in The Last of Us TV series.

“I had a wonderful conversation with Pedro, which I’ll save until the series airs, so there won’t be any spoilers about it, but I can definitely say that on my first day of filming, I got to look around this beautiful location… and I had to pinch myself” – Barker reveals. “I couldn’t believe we were there.”

“If you’d gone back ten years ago and said, ‘This is the audition you’re walking into for this play… you have no idea how successful it will be and how people will embrace it. Oh, and you’re going to shoot it in Canada one of the most expensive HBO series ever made!’ I never would have believed you.”

“The story we’re telling there, just like with the Superboys, is something that fans and people who haven’t had a chance to get into these characters before will appreciate,” he enthused. “I am honored to be a part of this.”

We’re definitely looking forward to the small screen version of the video game hit, and we’re very curious to see how Baker gets involved. Just as Nolan North’s cameo appearance as Nathan Drake in Uncharted seemed right on Sony’s part, we’re glad that HBO didn’t overlook the actor’s contribution to the creation of Joel.

The Last of Us will premiere on HBO sometime in 2023.
