Will Nvidia’s GeForce RTX 4090 Ti Be Huge?

TECH NEWS – The next-generation Titan won’t fit in a small PC case. You should be prepared for Nvidia’s card to be huge…

MegasizeGPU has previously leaked images of the Nvidia GeForce RTX 4090 Ti but now posted new ones on Twitter. On these, we can see how the Ada Lovelace-based graphics card will be gigantic. It has an air exhaust grill so big that it takes up at least two seats. Because of it, Nvidia had to vertically put the I/O ports on the edge of the card (whereas they tend to place them horizontally).

It is the largest Founders Edition cooling system we’ve ever seen, as it takes up FOUR slots in total. At the I/O ports, Nvidia calls the giant card 699-1G137 SKU or PG137. In the older pictures, the heatsink was mounted so that it was on the sides of the PCB (printed circuit board) rather than with the heatsink on top. We don’t know if this is a prototype video card or the store-ready version. Older rumors suggested that Nvidia’s top-of-the-line card would be called the RTX 4090 Ti or Titan, but the company is keeping mum on that.

According to Kopite7kimi, this card will come with the AD102-450-A1 GPU. The current top-of-the-line Ada Lovelace architecture card has 142 SMs and 18176 CUDA cores. It will reportedly have 48 GB of GDDR66X memory with a 384-bit bus, and it should be capable of more than 100 TFLOPs of computing performance by default, as the base RTX 4090 was also clocked at close to 2.8-2.9 GHz, and the RTX 4090 Ti (or Titan) will be capable of more than that. The memory is rumored to consist of 24 Gbps GDDR6X modules, giving the GPU a maximum VRAM bandwidth of 1.152 TB/s. That’s 14% better than the RTX 4090 (21 Gbps). Only the power consumption sounds even more daunting: twice the TDP of the RTX 3090 Ti, up to 800W!?

Hopefully, Nvidia will not use the two 16-pin 12VHPWR connectors…
