Nicolas Cage really doesn't have his famous uncle to thank for becoming an actor

CINEMA NEWS – Perhaps everyone knows that Nicolas Cage is not known as Nicolas Coppola because he did not want his uncle, Francis Ford’s nimbus (The Godfather Trilogy, Apocalypse, now) influence anyone.

Perhaps the famous director was also happy about the name change, because according to an anecdote, he was originally not thrilled with his nephew’s abilities. 15-year-old Nicolas had a lot of confidence in himself, so when he was driving with Uncle Francis once, he told him that he was introducing himself as an actor and improvised a scene on the spot. After that there was a frozen silence. It took some time before the camera of the future star could appear.

Cage will next be seen in a reimagined version of the Dracula myth, in which he plays the bloodsucking count. However, the protagonist of the fun thriller is Renfield (this is also the title of the film), the vampire’s assistant (Nicholas Hoult), who doesn’t like his job, let alone his employer, so he wants to get rid of pregnant for her from a codependent relationship.
