Star Wars Battlefront 3 Canceled, Despite Being Almost Finished

Star Wars fans were in for a big disappointment when they learned that Star Wars Battlefront 3 was canceled, despite being almost done with its development. The game was being made by EA and DICE, who had previously created the successful Star Wars Battlefront and Star Wars Battlefront 2 games.

The Star Wars Battlefront series is a shooter game, where players can fight against or cooperate with each other on various locations and periods of the Star Wars universe. The games feature characters, vehicles and weapons from the movies. The games also have stunning graphics and sound, as they used the original materials from the films.

Star Wars Battlefront 3 was one of those games that fans were eagerly anticipating. The game would have offered new locations, characters and game modes, as well as a new story campaign. The game’s development started in 2017, and it was reportedly only a few months away from completion.

However, EA decided to stop the game’s development, because it was too expensive to maintain the Star Wars license. Also, EA wanted to focus on its own Battlefield series, which is also a shooter game. Thus, Star Wars Battlefront 3 never saw the light of day.

Fans are now hoping that maybe another studio will take over the game’s development, or that EA will change its mind. Until then, they can still enjoy the previous Star Wars Battlefront games, which are still fun and popular.

Star Wars Battlefront 3 would not have been the only new Star Wars game from EA. The company announced the sequel to Jedi: Fallen Order, an action-adventure game that was a huge hit in 2019. The sequel will be titled Jedi: Survivor and will be released in 2023.

In addition, another studio of EA, Respawn Entertainment, is working on a new Star Wars shooter game that will focus more on the single-player story.

The Star Wars video game world is not over yet. Lucasfilm Games announced that they are planning several new Star Wars games with different developers. Among them will be an open-world game from Ubisoft. Fans will surely get more experiences from the galaxy far far away.
