Tom Cruise is driving around Rome in an old yellow Fiat 500 in the next installment of Mission: Impossible

MOVIE NEWS – For many film fans, car chases are the highlight of the cinema experience, think of Bullitt, The French Connection or Ronin, not to mention the Deadly Speed franchise. We know about Tom Cruise‘s next film, Mission: Impossible Showdown Part One, that it features the most daring stunt in the history of cinema, when the hero jumps off a motorcycle from a height of 1,200 meters.

At the same time, what the two protagonists do on four wheels in the same film is nothing: Tom Cruise and his new girlfriend in the story, Hayle Atwell, flee across Rome by car. First with a black BMW 5 – the doors of which tear off right at the beginning, so the view is much better – and then they switch to a lemon yellow, old-style FIAT 500. With this dangerous vehicle, the heroes continue to tear through ditches and bushes, sparing passers-by and landmarks. To make matters worse, the fugitives’ hands are handcuffed, making it even more difficult to pull the steering wheel, especially during drifting, when the wheels are already smoking a lot.

Mission: Impossible Showdown Part One is the first part of the last part of the series starring Tom Cruise, the second is coming next summer.
