Poker Face: Rian Johnson and Natasha Lyonne’s new series from September on SkyShowtime

MOVIE NEWS – The two-time Oscar-nominated director and executive producer returns to the screen with a series full of mysteries.

SkyShowtime has announced the September launch of Poker Face, a new series directed by Rian Johnson (Star Wars: The Last Jedi, Knives Out) and starring and executive produced by Natasha Lyonne (Russian Doll, Orange Is the New Black). The series is a 10-episode crime drama with a new mystery every week, in which Lyonne plays a private detective sensitive to lies.

Poker Face is the brainchild of Rian Johnson, who directed both the first and last episodes. In the series, Lyonne plays Charlie Cale, who has the extraordinary ability to recognize when someone is lying. He sets off in his Plymouth Barracuda, meeting new characters and strange crimes to solve at each stop.

The series received overwhelmingly positive reviews and almost immediately received the best “Fresh” rating on Rotten Tomatoes with a score of 98%.

Poker Face guest stars include Adrien Brody, Joseph Gordon-Levitt, Rhea Perlman and many more.

SkyShowtime is available directly to subscribers via the SkyShowtime app on Apple iOS, tvOS and Android devices, Android TV, Google Chromecast, LG and Samsung TVs and via the website www.skyshowtime.com. The price of the monthly SkyShowtime subscription, which can be canceled at any time, is HUF 1,999.
