Call of Duty Developers Hit Back After Christopher Judge’s TGA Comment!

Judge, who is known as either the voice of Kratos (he was used in 2018’s God of War and its sequel, God of War: Ragnarök) or as Teal’c in Stargate SG-1, has received a strong response from the developers of the annual franchise.

Last year, Judge won the award for best performance for his role as Kratos in God of War: Ragnarok. This year, however, he pointed out that his long speech last year was longer than the story mode in Call of Duty: Modern Warfare III. Although he didn’t take it seriously, he shocked the audience with it. Here’s what he said: “I’m not going to get up here and make long speeches. I’m going to stick to the script. No eight-minute speech like last year. But fun fact, my speech was actually longer than this year’s Call of Duty campaign.

Now the Call of Duty community and some current and former developers have responded. Ajinkya Limaya wrote in a now-deleted tweet that Call of Duty is completely destroying all God of War games, and it’s just as funny. Nelson Plumey, who is an art director at Treyarch, criticized the game for having a short player engagement after the game (God of War, that is) has been consumed, and he can’t identify with it. However, there were other responses that took a different tone. Darcy Sander, who worked on Call of Duty: Modern Warfare III as an engineer at Sledgehammer Games, wrote that Call of Duty developers have heard worse, but you wouldn’t expect that from a peer, especially at an event celebrating this year’s achievements, let alone the information that leaked out during development.

In fact, one of the criticisms of Call of Duty: Modern Warfare III was that the story mode was very short, but it still managed to achieve great sales (probably because of the brand…). Meanwhile, a free roguelike DLC for God of War: Ragnarok, Valhalla, will be released next week.
