LG presents its latest 2024 OLED evo TVs

TECH NEWS – LG Electronics (LG) will present its latest OLED televisions at CES 2024, which will take the home entertainment experience to a new level. The newest members of the OLED product family, equipped with the company’s latest, quadruple-powered artificial intelligence processor, provide an unparalleled visual experience with even more vivid, lifelike picture quality.

Following LG’s user-centric vision of “Sync to You, Open to All”, the company aims to provide a personalized experience that fits any lifestyle and is accessible to everyone. To this end, LG’s webOS smart TV platform offers personalized solutions and services with an expanded ecosystem and expanded connectivity options to provide the perfect experience for everyone.

The models of LG’s 2024 expanded OLED TV range feature the company’s proprietary artificial intelligence (AI)-based processor designed exclusively for OLED TVs. LG SIGNATURE OLED M4 and LG OLED G4 TVs are equipped with the new α (Alpha) 11 AI processor, which improves image and sound quality: compared to its predecessor, it enables 70 percent better graphics performance and 30 percent faster processing speed.

LG’s latest OLED televisions use advanced AI-based upscaling: based on accurate pixel-level image analysis, they are able to make seemingly blurry objects and backgrounds sharp. All this is controlled by artificial intelligence, which automatically makes the displayed image clearer and more vivid. The artificial intelligence-based processor also improves color rendering: it analyzes frequently displayed shades and, based on this, more accurately displays the visual world that filmmakers and content producers originally dreamed of. In addition, the Dynamic Tone Mapping Pro technology divides the image into blocks, then fine-tunes the brightness and contrast based on the analysis of the light intensity of the given part, thus improving the image quality.

The possibilities offered by the technology culminate in the LG SIGNATURE OLED M4, LG’s wireless OLED TV, which is now also available in new sizes, from 65 to 97 inches. The innovative, wireless Zero Connect Box completely eliminates the problem of connected cables. The OLED M4 is the world’s first TV that guarantees up to 4K resolution and a 144 Hz refresh rate with wireless image and sound transmission.

“With our category-leading OLED TVs and impressive QNED product line, we are strengthening our leading role in the premium television market, and with the new content and services available on the webOS smart TV platform, we are further improving the TV viewing experience,” said Park Hyoung-sei, LG’s head of consumer electronics president of his business.

The AI Sound Pro function is richer and more complete, and the built-in speakers offer virtual 11.1.2 channel sound. The artificial intelligence is able to separate the speech track of the scenes from the background noise and improve the clarity of the dialogues based on this.

The latest OLED evo models come with the Video Electronics Standards Association (VESA) ClearMR certification[1], which officially recognizes accurate and clear image display. This year’s LG OLED TVs are also excellent for gaming: among other things, with outstanding 4K resolution, 144 Hz refresh rate[2] and HDMI 2.1 function, as well as Game They also have an Optimizer feature so that players can easily switch between display settings designed for different game genres. The devices support NVIDIA G-SYNC® and AMD FreeSync for a dynamic and lifelike gaming experience.

LG offers a whole range of customizable functions for the most complete home entertainment. With the latest version of the webOS smart TV platform, users can create up to 10 user profiles with individual settings. For example, they can customize the home screen, so they can quickly access their favorite services and content, and they can enjoy the benefits of the personalized Picture Wizard service, which allows them to adjust the picture quality according to their own taste. Using the device is made even more convenient by the fact that the most recently viewed content is always displayed on the home screen, so you can easily and quickly access the most recently used applications and play your favorite videos immediately.

With the webOS Re:New application[3], LG smart TV owners can conveniently upgrade to the latest version of the platform for five years, so their TV can always be up to date. This option is available for the company’s 2022 OLED TV models and 2022 QNED Mini LED 8K models, and will be extended to more LG TVs worldwide in the future.

The 2024 smart TVs running the latest LG webOS system are compatible with smart home devices supporting the Matter standard. The devices also support Apple AirPlay and Google Chromecast, so users can easily mirror content from a specific device to the screen.

LG OLED TVs and QNED TVs[4] can be easily paired with LG sound projectors with built-in WOWCAST function and enjoy excellent sound quality wirelessly. WOW Orchestra conjures three-dimensional sound in the room: the speakers of the device and the TV support each other to create a unified sound system.

LG TVs offer many functions for people with disabilities in the accessible section of the Quick Card application. This means that services created to support people with disabilities, among others, are now available on the home screen. Users can conveniently access the services with the application that demonstrates the operation of the remote control and the chatbot services.
