The Legend of Zelda: Echoes of Wisdom: is Nintendo Hiding Link from Us?

The new Zelda will star Zelda, but it might be a little more messy than that because that’s not what a ratings board says!

The US ESRB has rated The Legend of Zelda: Echoes of Wisdom, and the definition includes a short sentence that nuances Nintendo’s previous information: “As Link, players use a sword and arrows to defeat enemies.” This could mean that you can only control Link during the prologue, at the beginning of the game, but that’s not certain either. In any case, it looks like he will be the main character at the beginning of the game!

And later on, he could be a playable character, with Zelda rescuing Link so that we can switch to him so that Zelda can rest. Another possibility is a more Nintendo-specific one: if we play through The Legend of Zelda: Echoes of Wisdom, Link may appear as a playable protagonist, but with slight modifications, since he probably won’t have the Tri-Rod. The video also reveals that Zelda can’t move in eight directions, and Link should be given a little more freedom of movement to give the audience a different gameplay experience.

It’s up to Zelda and her wisdom to save the kingdom of Hyrule in an all-new story for The Legend of Zelda series. The people of Hyrule are being stolen away by strange rifts that have appeared, and a certain swordsman is among the missing. Team up with the mysterious fairy Tri and use the power of the Tri Rod to create echoes – imitations of things found around you. Then recreate those echoes whenever you want to solve puzzles and defeat enemies. Use echoes of water blocks to reach new heights, build bridges out of old beds, hurl rocks at enemies-or find your own creative combination of echoes to do things your way. You can even create echoes of monsters to fight at your side in battle. Join Zelda on her quest to save Hyrule.

The Legend of Zelda: Echoes of Wisdom is coming to Nintendo Switch on September 26th.
