The flood of complaints from players about Call of Duty: Black Ops 6 on Steam led to it receiving a “mixed” rating in a matter of days…
Tens of thousands of players are playing Call of Duty: Black Ops 6, and many of them are already immersed in the multiplayer mode. The most popular platform where many people tend to congregate is still Steam, but PC Game Pass and Battle.net have also caught on. That is why it was reported yesterday that the latest Call of Duty conquered Steam with more players than Modern Warfare 3. Quite a few of them were indeed upset about some things…
Although the latest Call of Duty is being played by over 270,000 players at the time of writing (according to SteamDB), it’s important to mention that Treyarch’s FPS shooter isn’t a completely satisfying experience for many users. That’s why Black Ops 6 debuted on Steam with “mixed” reviews. 65% of the nearly 3,000 reviews are positive.
The community complains about various bugs, crashes, and issues that spoil the experience.
Performance drops in multiplayer, frequent crashes, and bugs in the Call of Duty launcher make it difficult for Black Ops 6 players to enjoy the game smoothly. “I bought it yesterday and haven’t been able to play one single game. It always closes when I try to start the game” – say the users, whose opinion was also taken over by Gamesradar. What also hurts many is that they are forced to play the Black Ops 6 campaign over the Internet. “I am only 25 minutes into the campaign and I have been disconnected 3 times so far,” says another player.
What’s in the first Call of Duty: Black Ops 6 update?
DSOGaming reports that a patch was released on October 26 that focused on balancing multiplayer and Zombies. Experience points were adjusted in some game modes, track errors were fixed, while enemy generation and stability issues were resolved for Zombies in some missions. There is nothing new in the campaign. However, they did at least indicate that the optimization of the main menu has been improved in this patch, something players have been complaining about.
