Assetto Corsa EVO: The Next Evolution in Racing Simulation Launches on Steam Early Access

Global publisher 505 Games and developer KUNOS Simulazioni have announced the release of Assetto Corsa EVO, the latest entry in the beloved racing simulation series, now available on Steam Early Access. Priced at €39.99 | $39.99 | £32.99, the game debuts with a 20% launch discount for a limited time.

Assetto Corsa EVO is the highly anticipated follow-up to the original Assetto Corsa, a title that has become one of the most popular racing simulations of the last decade. Staying true to its roots, EVO offers a wide variety of vehicles from different eras and categories, including road cars, hypercars, classics, and race cars. Utilizing advanced simulation technology developed by KUNOS, the game provides an even more realistic driving experience by faithfully reproducing mechanical, electronic, and aerodynamic performance.

Expanding the Assetto Corsa Legacy

The new installment represents a significant step forward for the Assetto Corsa franchise. Featuring a fully dynamic 24-hour race cycle, advanced weather and track conditions, photorealistic visuals, and full support for VR and triple-screen setups, Assetto Corsa EVO redefines the boundaries of racing simulation. These features are made possible by a proprietary engine developed specifically for this game, which also introduces a range of new modes and gameplay possibilities.

The Early Access version includes 20 cars and five tracks spanning four continents: Laguna Seca (America), Brands Hatch and Imola (Europe), Mount Panorama (Australia), and Suzuka (Japan). Players can explore several single-player modes, such as Practice sessions, Quick Races, and the new Driving Academy.

The Driving Academy is an innovative addition to the series, designed to help players master each track step by step, using a wide array of vehicles. This mode also introduces a progression system where players can earn driving licenses, experience points, and in-game credits to unlock more powerful cars and begin their journey as car collectors.

The Path Ahead: Full Launch in Fall 2025

The Early Access phase is just the beginning. The 1.0 version of Assetto Corsa EVO, expected to launch in Fall 2025, will include 100 vehicles and 15 officially licensed tracks, with an additional five circuits to be released as free updates. During this period, KUNOS plans to expand the game with regular updates, adding new cars, tracks, features, and the highly anticipated open-world map based on Germany’s Eifel region surrounding the Nürburgring.

Marco Massarutto, co-founder and Executive Manager of KUNOS Simulazioni, shared his excitement about the launch:

“Over the past 11 years, first with Assetto Corsa and later with Assetto Corsa Competizione, we’ve always strived to deliver the most rewarding simulation and competitive driving experience to our community. After four years of development, we’ve reached the Early Access launch of Assetto Corsa EVO, undoubtedly our most ambitious project yet. However, this milestone marks not just an end, but a new beginning. With your support, we aim to make Assetto Corsa EVO the ultimate racing simulation experience our community has been eagerly waiting for. During Early Access, we’ll provide consistent updates, refine gameplay based on community feedback, and shape the game into its best possible version for the full release this fall.”

Early Access Content

The first Early Access build comes with 20 cars across various classes and five tracks set in four continents, including iconic locations such as Laguna Seca, Imola, and Suzuka. Players will find single-player modes like Practice, Quick Races, and Hotstint, alongside the Driving Academy.

The Driving Academy not only helps players master tracks and vehicles but also allows them to engage with the game’s new economy system. This includes earning experience points and credits to unlock content and advance through the game’s progression system, which will be further enhanced during the Early Access period.

Why Join Early Access?

Players who purchase Assetto Corsa EVO in Early Access will benefit from a reduced price, gain early access to new features, and play a pivotal role in shaping the game’s development. Feedback from the community will help fine-tune mechanics, optimize performance, and ensure the final product is polished to perfection.
