Nintendo Switch 2 Units May Already Be in the Hands of Some; Price Rumors Surface

According to a report on Bluesky by Necro Felipe, a Xiaohongshu forum user—who previously leaked the console’s CAD model—now claims to have obtained a real Nintendo Switch 2 unit, most likely through questionable means. If true, we can expect more leaks about the system before the official April 2 Nintendo Direct and the hands-on events scheduled worldwide in the coming months.

One of the biggest unknowns surrounding the Nintendo Switch 2 is its price. So far, Nintendo has remained tight-lipped on the matter, only mentioning that multiple factors—including inflation, exchange rates, and consumer expectations—are being considered when setting the system’s cost.

According to Nintendo Life, recent leaks from two images—one from Costco Canada’s backend product listing and another from a printed price tag with a notable misspelling—suggest that the console could be priced at 499 CAD, roughly 350 USD. This would be an attractive price point for the hardware, although direct currency conversions aren’t always accurate, especially when considering how Nintendo prices its products in different regions.

The Nintendo Switch 2 is set to launch worldwide later this year. As mentioned before, the next official look at the system will take place during the dedicated Nintendo Direct scheduled for April 2.
