Zendaya Arrives in a Beautiful Gown for the Madame Tussauds Budapest Production

MOVIE NEWS – Zendaya took over the room at Madame Tussauds Budapest Rác in a beautiful, iconic evening gown. The international star’s wax figure is a one-of-a-kind creation, made especially for the Budapest production. On the figure, Zendaya wears a copy of the outfit she wore on the red carpet at the last Academy Awards. Zendaya was greeted in Budapest by one of her regular Hungarian voices, actress Franciska Törőcsik.

The one-of-a-kind waxwork, created especially for the Budapest production, took months to create at Madame Tussauds’ workshop near London. Zendaya herself contributed to the process by taking part in a “sitting” where experts assessed her physical parameters, from her skin tone to the distance between her eyes and the exact color of her hair. They modeled her movements, posture and even her hairstyle.

The character wears a special dress, an exact replica of the outfit we saw on Zendaya at the Oscars last year. The star wowed the press with her floor-length, antique pink and metallic silk Armani Privé gown, which Hollywood fashion journalists clearly named the best-dressed star of the year. Her evening re-creation, with its twisted shoulder and palm leaf embellishment, was a huge challenge for Madame Tussauds’ international team, but the end result speaks for itself. The figure arrived in Budapest from London.

Zendaya was practically returning home to Budapest, having previously spent months in the capital filming Dune, often accompanied by her new fiancé Tom Holland.

Törőcsik Franciska has provided Zendaya’s voice on several occasions, including the Dune films, as well as The Greatest Showman and Challengers. Both are versatile individuals who have proven themselves in dance shows as well as on screen or behind the microphone. “I think Zendaya is a great girl, a good actress, a real individual, and very aware of everything she does. Dubbing bad roles is stressful, but working with her is easy. My personal favorite of hers is Challengers” – said Franciska Törőcsik, who personally introduced the character to the press and the public. “Our careers really overlap at some points, I enjoy being able to sing and dance within the acting profession, I don’t have time to get bogged down in anything” – added Franciska Törőcsik. The actress looked at the silk dress with appreciation, but admitted that she doesn’t follow fashion on a daily basis and feels comfortable in a baseball cap and sweater during the week.

Zendaya joined the residents of Madame Tussauds Budapest as a permanent fixture, arriving in style for the production as Valentine’s Day decorations adorned the rooms. Romance is also present in Zendaya’s life, as the star recently proposed to her boyfriend, actor Tom Holland.
