Lords of the Fallen: A Huge Update Brings Hexworks’ Game to 2.0! [VIDEO]

Although CI Games and Hexworks are working on the sequel, this game has not been left behind, as a major update has now been released.

After more than 50 post-launch updates, Lords of the Fallen version 2.0 marks the definitive edition of the dark fantasy action RPG, adding numerous new features and improvements. With shared progression cross-play co-op, both players now keep all main story progress as long as they’re on the same New Game and have defeated a similar number of main bosses within a single game. Both players keep all loot, have 100 percent health, and can resurrect each other in all online sessions.

With the free Friend Pass, you can invite any friend to join your adventure in online co-op, even if they don’t own the game. Friends keep loot and character progress, and get full offline access to the tutorial and character creator. Version 2 adds smoother animations, better weapon responsiveness, refined lock-on, improved dodges, and new grievous blows. Jump at any time with a single button for improved platforming.

Weapon audio has been completely reworked. Feel every swing, parry, and block like never before. The character creator has also been revamped. Create more lifelike characters with improved facial detail, body shapes, and visual fidelity. Both the user interface and HUD have been modernized, offering a cleaner interface, an optional HUD toggle, and a dynamic HUD for immersive gameplay. The tutorial experience has been improved with clearer instructions and a new in-game guide for easy reference. There’s also the Umbrella Lamp Guide. The lamp can now highlight the path to your next vestige to help you navigate Mournstead.

Hexworks has obviously taken a cue from Split Fiction and It Takes Two, where you can give a friend access to the game with a single purchase…
