1047 Games has set the date for the open beta of Splitgate 2, which will offer players a wealth of content.

1047 Games is ready to welcome us to Splitgate 2, the greatest sport of the future, as the open beta for its highly anticipated portal-filled, first-person shooter is just under a month away. The unique free-to-play title is coming to PlayStation 5, Xbox Series, PC, PlayStation 4 and Xbox One, with cross-play available across all platforms.

The Open Beta will feature over 25 weapons, including the all-new Borealis, an energy carbine power weapon; over 15 maps, including two new massive 24-player Onslaught maps, Drought and Fracture; and over 10 modes, with fan-favorite Takedown making a triumphant comeback, where teams battle to eliminate all members of the opposing team before they can respawn. 1047 Games also teased the idea of “infinite” maps. They promise to reveal exactly what that means soon, along with a full breakdown of all the other content in Splitgate 2’s Open Beta, closer to May 22nd.
