GSC Game World isn’t just bringing the S.T.A.L.K.E.R. trilogy to the Nintendo Switch, but also to other current-gen consoles.

S.T.A.L.K.E.R.: Legends of the Zone Trilogy originally launched on PlayStation 4 and Xbox One on March 6 last year, followed by a Nintendo Switch release on October 31. It features three titles (S.T.A.L.K.E.R.: Shadow of Chernobyl, S.T.A.L.K.E.R.: Clear Sky, S.T.A.L.K.E.R.: Call of Pripyat), and now the Enhanced Edition delivers visually upgraded versions for modern systems.

S.T.A.L.K.E.R.: Legends of the Zone Trilogy – Enhanced Edition takes us back to where it all began. Experience the defining survival shooter series with enhanced and refined visuals. Embrace the loneliness and haunting desolation of these radioactive, anomaly-ridden lands—your only reliable companions in a now even more immersive journey. Take on the role of legendary stalkers across three chapters, with choices that shape the Zone’s fate. Face horror, witness strange phenomena, and above all, survive long enough to become a legend.

Expect godray lighting, screen-space reflections, global illumination, higher-resolution textures, detailed 3D models for NPCs, weapons, and environments, advanced shaders for water and wetness effects, and upgraded skyboxes. Dramatic storytelling is delivered via pre-rendered 4K cutscenes, and a better combat perspective offers improved weapon FOV.

Xbox Series X, PlayStation 5, and PlayStation 5 Pro graphical modes include: Quality (native 4K / 30 FPS), Balanced (upscaled 4K / 40 FPS), Performance (upscaled 4K / 60 FPS), and Ultra Performance (upscaled 2K / 120 FPS). On Xbox Series S: Quality (native 2K / 30 FPS), Balanced (upscaled 2K / 40 FPS), and Performance (1080p / 60 FPS). Both PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series will support keyboard and mouse as well as console mod support via mod.io.

The Steam Deck will also support the trilogy, complete with Steam Workshop integration for user mods. Cloud saves will offer seamless progress across devices, and full controller support ensures a console-like PC experience. If you already own S.T.A.L.K.E.R.: Legends of the Zone Trilogy on PlayStation 5 or Xbox Series, the Enhanced Edition will be free. The same goes for PC if you own any of the original games. The trilogy is priced at $40, or $20 per game (approx. HUF 16,000/8,000). The aim is to maintain accessibility and fair pricing across all platforms, though regional adjustments may apply.
