The New LG Swing Smart Monitor Arrives with a Touchscreen and Flexible, Movable Stand [VIDEO]

TECH NEWS – LG Electronics (LG) has officially introduced the LG Swing smart monitor (model 32U889SA), which will also arrive in Hungary in the second half of the summer. The new display is the latest addition to LG’s innovative smart monitor lineup and has won the CES 2025 Innovation Award. The device can be used without a computer, offering unique features that support both productivity and entertainment. The model’s standout features include a flexible, movable stand and a touchscreen. Equipped with more input connections than the original LG Smart Monitor, the 32U889SA is LG’s most versatile smart monitor to date, perfectly adapting to different user needs.

The LG Smart Monitor Swing comes with a flexible, rolling stand that ensures versatile and ergonomic use. The brand-new stand concept allows users to easily move the screen to the ideal angle for any situation: watching movies from bed, pulling it closer for touchscreen use, or using it as part of a productive workstation. Thanks to its unique design, the monitor is also an ideal choice for creative activities, such as creating digital artwork or displaying sheet music comfortably for musicians.

Objective performance and versatility

The LG Smart Monitor Swing is an ideal choice for both work and entertainment. Its 32-inch 4K UHD (3840 x 2160) IPS display ensures exceptionally clear and high-contrast visuals, with lifelike colors. The large 4K screen provides ample space for multitasking and displays text with excellent clarity, offering maximum comfort for demanding tasks. The monitor runs on LG’s award-winning webOS smart TV platform, which offers a wide selection of productivity and entertainment applications, allowing users to conveniently switch between cloud-based office apps and remote PC connections—all without directly connecting a computer.

As the first in the smart monitor segment, the new model’s entire surface can be used as a touchscreen, making navigation and content management even more convenient. The model is equipped with built-in speakers and various connectivity options, including 65W USB Type-C and HDMI ports.

Beyond its hardware capabilities, the LG Smart Monitor Swing offers several intelligent features that allow users to customize the screen management experience to their preferences. The Auto Pivot feature automatically adjusts the screen orientation to the content being viewed. This feature works perfectly with popular short-form video apps through webOS, ensuring optimal display without manual adjustments.

When connected to a computer, the LG Switch app provides convenient control: when the screen is rotated, it automatically adjusts the display to portrait orientation in a PC work environment as well. The app also offers numerous productivity-enhancing features, such as the ability to divide the screen into different selectable layouts for displaying multiple windows simultaneously, fully customizable monitor settings, and the management of multiple connected input devices using a keyboard and mouse. With the monitor, users can instantly switch between computer and smart TV operating systems, while the app makes the necessary display adjustments easier.

The Brightness Control feature dynamically adjusts the display brightness to the ambient lighting conditions. With these screen management features, users can always enjoy a smooth, personalized experience when using the monitor, whether watching series or editing documents.

“The new LG Smart Monitor Swing redefines versatility in the home display category and meets all users’ work and entertainment needs in a single product,” said YS Lee, head of IT products for LG’s media and entertainment division. “LG remains committed to pushing the boundaries of innovation, developing smart monitors that not only adapt to users’ lifestyles and interests but also support their creative pursuits.”
