Not the comeback fans pictured after Konami’s latest remake, yet here it is: Delta Force has announced a Konami crossover that brings Naked Snake to multiplayer – voiced by David Hayter.
It’s not even two years old and still pulls in thousands of players, but Team Jade isn’t coasting. The studio is lining up fresh content for Delta Force, and the next drop is tailor-made for Metal Gear fans. A collaboration with Konami will add Naked Snake as a cosmetic to the shooter, complete with the iconic performance by actor David Hayter. This isn’t a light-touch promo: the devs dove deep and penned dozens of brand-new lines for Hideo Kojima’s legendary operative.
The Metal Gear Solid crossover kicks off with the Ahsarah season on December 19 and will wrap in the New Year as Nox – the stealth-and-infiltration specialist – receives a full Naked Snake outfit that neatly matches Konami’s hero. The partnership sprang from Team Jade’s long-time love for the saga. As multiplayer director Shadow Guo put it in Epic Games’ announcement article, “I’m a huge fan of the Metal Gear Solid franchise, and many on our team grew up with these games.”
“Metal Gear Solid 3: Snake Eater is one of my favorites, and Metal Gear Solid Delta: Snake Eater is a wonderful way to revisit a classic,” Guo continued. In his view, Delta Force’s tactical-operator framework “fits perfectly with Metal Gear’s themes and genre,” which is why Team Jade approached Konami to propose the collaboration.
A Chance To Work With Naked Snake’s Voice
One standout aspect of the deal is Konami helping Team Jade secure David Hayter to voice Naked Snake. The developers seized the moment, stuffing multiplayer with unique, original barks: “Together with the Konami team, we created over 500 lines of dialogue for this collaboration, and we can’t wait for players to hear them.”
Team Jade also has plans beyond this crossover. The press note unveiling the Naked Snake skin teases more surprises ahead: “We had a blast bringing this collaboration to life, and we hope players enjoy everything we’ve prepared,” Guo said. “Heading into 2026, Delta Force will deliver even more content – new maps, new Operators, exciting new ways to play like fully destroying the scene in Warfare mode – and more. We can’t wait for players to try it all.”
Konami’s mission to revive Metal Gear has been clear – starting with Metal Gear Solid: The Master Collection Vol. 1 and continuing in 2025 with Metal Gear Solid Delta: Snake Eater. While multiplayer crossovers weren’t necessarily on fans’ bingo cards, the Delta Force partnership shows the publisher won’t let its iconic character gather dust. The Japanese company has even reiterated its intention to create new games to further grow the IP.
