The Silent Hill 2 Remake Developer Is Teasing a New Game — A 44-Day Countdown Has Begun

Anyone expecting Bloober Team to slow down after the success of Silent Hill 2 Remake may want to think again. The Polish studio has launched a cryptic tease pointing toward a new project, complete with a mysterious domain and a 44-day countdown, while actively developing seven games.

Bloober Team has built momentum through consecutive successes. Both Cronos: The New Dawn and Silent Hill 2 Remake made a strong impact, with the latter becoming the best-selling entry in the franchise’s history.

Cronos: The New Dawn further highlighted the studio’s strengths. Developed on a roughly $27 million budget, the title surpassed 500,000 copies sold and earned favorable reviews, reinforcing confidence in the team’s creative direction.

Why it matters: In an era when major games often take years to complete, a studio delivering polished projects at this pace stands out.

Konami has since confirmed that Silent Hill 2 Remake has sold more than 2 million copies

As part of a deliberately cryptic marketing move, Bloober Team shared an unusual domain featuring a cipher. The site leads to a countdown timer currently set at 44 days, with no additional details revealed.

Fans quickly began decoding attempts, with many pointing to the phrase “Remove your old dreams, choose seer,” though the true meaning remains unclear.

What is known is that Bloober Team has seven projects in development, including a Silent Hill 1 remake approved by Konami. Insiders have also hinted at a possible Silent Hill 3 remake, alongside several original IPs, one reportedly inspired by Resident Evil.

Adding to the intrigue, Netflix has commissioned the studio to develop a new game, making the outcome of this countdown even harder to predict.
