The Blood of Dawnwalker: We’ll Soon Learn More About the Ex-CDPR Team’s Action RPG! [VIDEO]

The Polish developers are not just set to reveal the release date, but also the PC requirements, and we will get a fresh look at gameplay too.

Rebel Wolves’ open-world RPG, The Blood of Dawnwalker, has been in development for quite some time, and it is still expected to launch sometime this year. The exact release date will be revealed next week during the Road to Launch broadcast, which will also deliver several new details. The stream is scheduled for April 28 at 6:00 PM Hungarian time, and it will include fresh gameplay footage, a new story trailer, the PC system requirements, and a full breakdown of the game’s various editions.

“We are getting closer and closer to the most important milestone in our four-year development journey, the release of The Blood of Dawnwalker, the first chapter of our original dark fantasy saga. On behalf of the entire Rebel Wolves studio, I would like to invite all players to the upcoming stream, during which they will not only learn the opening day of their adventure in Vale Sangora, but will also see the gameplay changes we have implemented over the past months, with particular attention paid to activities connected to the game’s open world”, said The Blood of Dawnwalker game director Konrad Tomaszkiewicz.

Even though Rebel Wolves is a brand-new studio, The Blood of Dawnwalker has already attracted serious attention from fans of open-world RPGs, and that is hardly surprising. The game is directed by Konrad Tomaszkiewicz, who previously served as the director of The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt. The project promises an open-ended experience reminiscent of tabletop RPGs, one where there is no hard divide between main quests and side quests, and where the protagonist, Coen, can pursue different paths to save his family depending on what stage of the day he is in and which vampire abilities are available to him.

Rebel Wolves’ first title is due sometime this year for PlayStation 5, Xbox Series, and PC, and it looks increasingly likely to become another major fantasy RPG for genre fans. Tomaszkiewicz recently said he is not afraid of comparisons with CD Projekt RED’s The Witcher series either. We covered that as well earlier.
