Another month is behind us, which means Sony once again has to reveal which games PlayStation Plus Essential, PlayStation Plus Extra, and PlayStation Plus Premium subscribers will be able to add to their accounts in the final month of spring.
Unfortunately, there was no leak this time courtesy of billbil-kun, even though the highly reliable insider has, on more than one occasion, revealed far in advance which games PlayStation Plus subscribers were going to get. This time, we did not even have a clue about what Sony had lined up for May 2026, but given the overall trend, the safest assumption is still to prepare for a surprisingly weak lineup, because that way at least the disappointment will not hit quite as hard… but let’s get to it: what games are arriving in May?
Once again, the main headline game this month is a sports title. Sony may be overdoing that a bit, because this one will probably not do much for American players, given that soccer is nowhere near as popular over there. The first game is EA Sports FC 26 (PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4). The second game also came up in today’s news because of a possible sequel, and that is Wuchang: Fallen Feathers (PlayStation 5). And, as always, the third title is once again an indie game, this time Nine Sols (PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4).
As a reminder, there is still plenty of time until Monday to grab the April games. We are listing them here as well, just in case any of them slipped through the cracks and still need catching up. The headliner for the month is the 2023 version of Lords of the Fallen (and not the 2014 one, since both share the same title). The second entry actually covers three games, because Tomb Raider I-III Remastered is also part of the lineup, although that means we are getting the newest version with the allegedly AI-generated costumes, no matter how much Aspyr Media denies it, but let’s leave that there. The third game in the selection is Sword Art Online Fractured Daydream, and as always there is also a niche pick in the mix, because there is always one of those in the lineup, and Lara certainly does not count as that…
