[XGS 2026] Crazy Taxi: World Tour: The Wind of the Future Distorts the Past [VIDEO]

A new Crazy Taxi is being developed at SEGA, but plenty of people backed away almost immediately once they learned a little more about it.

It is time for crazy driving, crazy adventures, and crazy money. Crazy Taxi is back and heading out to conquer the world. In this new, high-energy adventure, we follow Axel while chasing the mysterious masked villains who stole his beloved taxi. Take on extreme missions around the world while earning crazy money. Pull off ridiculous drifts, jump to absurd heights, and race at wild speeds through five different cities while carrying passengers and completing numerous missions and challenges.

Join a globe-trotting adventure to recover Axel’s stolen car from a mysterious international car-theft gang in an exciting, story-driven campaign. Meet strange characters, complete varied missions, and navigate different terrain across five unique cities around the world. From transporting passengers at top speed to completing unique side missions and odd jobs on dynamic maps, there are countless ways to drive like a lunatic and make serious money. A wide range of vehicles and customization options can be unlocked to create your own unique ride.

The classic gameplay of Crazy Taxi is back, and better than ever. Relive the excitement of the original games in Arcade Mode, where we have to earn as much money as possible in a pulse-raising race against the clock. Turn on the madness and show off your outrageous driving skills to friends or online rivals around the world in cross-platform, action-packed multiplayer modes.

Crazy Taxi: World Tour, which was already teased in December 2023, will be released in 2027 for PlayStation 5, Xbox Series, Nintendo Switch 2, and PC. It has already drawn attention because SEGA’s Steam page shows that the game uses generative artificial intelligence. That is why many are treating the newest entry in the franchise with caution. The question is how deeply this technology is rooted in the game’s development. If it is too deeply embedded, it will certainly leave its mark on the quality.

Still, she likes puzzle and story-oriented games, like Sherlock Holmes: Crimes & Punishments, which is her favourite title. She also played The Sims 3, but after accidentally killing a whole sim family, swore not to play it again. (For our office address, email and phone number check out our IMPRESSUM)
