Everyone Loves Dog Movies – Especially When Brad Pitt Is in One

MOVIE NEWS – Brad Pitt’s latest survival thriller, Heart of the Beast, follows a retired elite soldier and his loyal German shepherd as they fight for survival in the Alaskan wilderness. According to the film’s producer, that premise is already strong enough, because almost everyone loves dog movies, and Brad Pitt only makes the package more irresistible.

Richard Raymond, producer of Brad Pitt’s new survival thriller Heart of the Beast, explained on social media why he was convinced the production was destined to succeed. According to him, everybody loves dog movies, and perhaps that is the one thing everyone on the planet can still agree on. Since Heart of the Beast is, in his words, “the definition of a German shepherd movie,” it cannot really fail. As an additional guarantee, there is Brad Pitt, who is not merely the owner of the four-legged Odin, but also his best friend and comrade-in-arms.

Twelve years ago, David Ayer turned the tank-war drama Fury into a success with Brad Pitt, and their new collaboration also looks promising. Heart of the Beast is a hard-edged survival drama. Its hero, played by Pitt, is a retired elite soldier who finds himself in the Alaskan wilderness with his loyal, equally retired combat dog after their plane crashes. In the merciless wild, they must fight the elements, wild animals, and their own past traumas in order to survive the ordeal.
