Clive Barker’s Hellraiser: Revival: It Could Be One of This Fall’s Hits! [VIDEO]

The conditional phrasing is no accident: we have not really had a chance to play Boss Team Games and Saber Interactive’s game yet.

Join the survival fight against the armies of hell in a terrifying new story set in the Hellraiser universe, Clive Barker’s Hellraiser: Revival. Descend into the darkest depths of the underworld to free our beloved from the corrupted claws of the Cenobites. Face our deepest fears as we battle perverse wretches, cultists, and monsters with the infernal power of the mysterious Genesis Configuration puzzle box and a full arsenal of earthly weapons.

Discover a chilling new story in the world of the iconic horror series as we unwillingly trigger Pinhead’s ritual, voiced by Doug Bradley, unleashing ultimate torment upon the world. One thing is certain: the pain will be beautiful. Harness the unique power of the Genesis Configuration, including pyrokinesis, telekinesis, and the iconic Chains of Hell, to inflict bone-breaking, flesh-burning pain, or perhaps pleasure, upon our enemies. The Genesis Configuration also plays a key role in solving puzzles and transforming parts of the winding Labyrinth. Face hell’s wretches, deviants, cult members, and most infernal priests in an unholy war for our immortal soul while trying to thwart the Cenobites’ evil plans.

It was a big surprise to us that this is not a full-price, €60-70 game. We thought the survival horror/action title might go in that direction with its price tag. But no: the standard edition will cost $40, both physically, obviously not on PC, and digitally, while the Deluxe Edition will cost $50. Its contents will only be announced later, presumably during Gamescom. Those who preorder will receive two in-game skins: Labyrinth Pistol and Martyr Sawblade.

Clive Barker’s Hellraiser: Revival will be released on October 8 for PlayStation 5, Xbox Series, and PC. That means it just misses the almost ridiculously packed September release flood, although October is also starting to look extremely crowded. But at least we will not have to wait until 2027 because of Grand Theft Auto VI.

Still, she likes puzzle and story-oriented games, like Sherlock Holmes: Crimes & Punishments, which is her favourite title. She also played The Sims 3, but after accidentally killing a whole sim family, swore not to play it again. (For our office address, email and phone number check out our IMPRESSUM)
