The remake of Ubisoft’s 2013 game was released this week, and it was expected that Sony’s mid-generation console upgrade would take the lead.

On paper, the PlayStation 5 Pro is the most powerful console on the market. However, it has fallen short in some instances, particularly with certain launch titles. However, the improved PlayStation Spectral Super Resolution (PSSR) 2.0 upscaler is steadily improving the situation. In the case of Assassin’s Creed Black Flag Resynced, it delivers Quality Mode–level graphics at 60 FPS in Performance Mode with full ray tracing. Ubisoft’s high-quality support for the PlayStation 5 Pro in this remake of the series’ fourth installment is showcased in a new comparison video by ElAnalistaDeBits. All versions of the game run side by side in each of the three display modes (Quality, Balanced, and Performance).

In Performance mode, the PlayStation 5 Pro delivers visual quality comparable to the PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X in Quality Mode. The PlayStation 5 Pro handles Quality Mode-level graphics with ray tracing exceptionally well, making it the best hardware for enjoying the console gaming experience. However, recent price hikes have made it a significantly less attractive purchase for many gamers.

Assassin’s Creed Black Flag Resynced is a well-optimized game. It delivers an excellent gaming experience on every platform and is one of the best entries in the series in a long time, which isn’t surprising considering it’s an extremely faithful adaptation of one of the most popular Assassin’s Creed games to date. In light of this, it’s no surprise that fans are flocking to the game in droves. It’s expected to significantly surpass the sales figures of Assassin’s Creed Shadows in a very short time.

This will result in an unusual situation. The franchise’s latest installment will fall short of what a remake of an earlier episode is set to achieve, which will embarrass Ubisoft.
