Megan Fox Has No Interest in Playing the Field After Machine Gun Kelly Split: Family Comes First

MOVIE NEWS – Megan Fox reportedly has no desire to return to the dating scene following her split from Machine Gun Kelly, as her attention is currently centered on her four children. The actress is also arranging her film career around her family and accepts only those roles that allow her to remain personally involved in her children’s everyday lives.

Megan Fox now spends most of her time raising her three sons and young daughter, leaving very little room for other parts of her personal life. According to a source close to the actress, she considers herself a full-time mother before anything else, while acting and the possibility of another relationship come later. She has not walked away from Hollywood, but she only works when a production can be fitted around the life she has organized for her family.

“The bottom line is that she sees herself as a mother, a full-time mother first, before anything else,” the source told In Touch. “She only makes films when they fit into her life, and she is hardly dating anymore.” According to the insider, Fox is not trying to find another partner as quickly as possible after the breakup, because meeting new people simply has no meaningful place in her current schedule.

The 40-year-old actress, recently seen in Subservience, shares three sons with her former husband Brian Austin Green: Noah, 13, Bodhi, 12, and Journey, 9. Fox is also the mother of 16-month-old Saga, whose father is her former fiancé Machine Gun Kelly. The source says life with four children is so demanding that finding time for another relationship would be difficult even if she were actively interested in one.

She Is Building Her Hollywood Career Around Her Children

Fox reportedly does not want to rely primarily on nannies or other paid caregivers while she spends long stretches of time working on film sets. She wants to remain beside her children, pay close attention to them and take a direct role in their everyday upbringing, which means she has become far more selective about professional opportunities. “She doesn’t want to be involved with many people because her children are the only thing on her mind. She just wants to give them her love and attention,” the confidential source explained.

The insider says Fox has not given up on love, but parenting leaves her with very few free hours in the day. “It is not that she cannot find love; it is that there is hardly any time left once she has taken care of her children. Her children do not know an alternative life in which they are raised by a paid caregiver instead of their actual mother.” Fox would therefore rather place dating and certain acting jobs in the background than spend less time with her family.

The actress previously discussed the guilt a working mother can experience when her career requires her to be away from her children during a 2022 interview with Glamour U.K. “It’s really hard to feel like you are supposed to be with them all the time and then also feel like you are doing them a disservice by constantly being away from them or not living up to their expectations.” According to the source, Fox may begin pursuing film offers more actively again once her children are older, but for now the Transformers star’s family determines the structure of her daily life. Her Instagram photo shoots continue to generate attention and have reportedly become one of her favorite ways to relax and release frustration.
