Given that we’ve already seen Eminem make an appearance in the IO Interactive game, it’s no surprise that Snoop Dogg has arrived as well.

In this latest mission, Agent 47 is targeting Dr Cyrus Kane, an eccentric entrepreneur who is famous around the world for his wide-ranging and unconventional business ventures. His latest venture is Morsizzles, a biscuit product gearing up for a worldwide launch which is expected to earn millions as buzz about its addictive taste spreads rapidly through social media and investment circles. However, beneath the hype lies a darker truth: an investigation has uncovered evidence of cover-ups linked to several deaths during internal product testing. In order to stop the launch and fulfil the contract, Dr Cane must be removed as the face of Morsizzles and the product must be withdrawn. Cane is hosting a lavish pre-launch party at his home on Haven Island, with food industry insiders, investors and influencers on the guest list, all eager to sample what’s next. This provides the perfect opportunity for Agent 47 to mingle with the crowd and prepare his next move. To play the Elusive Target mission featuring The Herbalist, players need access to the Haven Island location.

This new mission features a brand-new character and storyline set on Haven Island, marking Snoop Dogg’s debut in the World of Assassination. The rap icon lends his likeness and voice to the mission, bringing his unmistakable presence and personality to Agent 47’s world in a way that only he can, as can be seen in the Morsizzles advert. He is joined by his son, Cordell C. Broadus, who also lends his likeness and voice to the mission. This marks the first time the father-son duo have appeared together in a video game. Cordell appears in the game as a guest at the party, giving players the chance to find both father and son as they make their mark on Haven Island together.

A brand-new roadmap has been launched, offering players fresh and returning content to enjoy, including two new challenges, new Featured Contracts, two new and two returning Twitch Drops, the return of Elusive Targets — such as The Undying Returns — and IOI Account Rewards. There is also a complete set of assignments for Agent 47 to take on. One of the new challenges, ‘Bloom Where You Are Planted‘, sends players back to Ambrose Island to help a young student ‘blossom’ in their field and earn a highly coveted silenced pistol. Meanwhile, ‘Fortune Favours the Bald’ takes Agent 47 to the GAMA Private Hospital in Hokkaido for a shrouded-in-mystery challenge. The new Twitch Drops offer the Purple Streak Proximity Explosive: a modular device in a striking shade of violet that is detonated by proximity. It should be placed with caution as it is highly suspicious if noticed. The Green Grapes are also available: seedless fruit that, despite usually being good for your health, will cause anyone who steps on them to slip and fall.

The Herbalist Pack (£/€8), a brand new DLC themed after the latest Elusive Target, will also be available from 27 August to 26 September on all platforms. Including both the Visionary Arcade Contract and the Herbalist Assignment, which includes 16 challenges, the Herbalist Pack brings even more playable content, making Snoop Dogg’s introduction to the World of Assassination all the more special. The Herbalist Pack includes permanent access to The Visionary (a two-level arcade contract featuring the Herbalist elusive target), permanent access to the Herbalist Assignment (the special assignment contract featuring Snoop Dogg as Dr Cyrus Cane), the Entrepreneur fur coat, the Hustler tracksuit, ‘The Smoke’, the Ryte LX2 custom mic, the Morsizzles cookie, the Big Biz briefcase and a set of four freelancer safehouse cosmetics items inspired by the elusive target mission.

The mission is available in both the full game and the free demo, meaning that anyone can take down the rapper.
