Two SEGA Games Leak, and Both Look Promising! [VIDEO]

In the case of one of the games, the developer is recognizable, as the leaked footage has a unique art style that we’ve seen in a few other titles recently.

Ryan from the Bronx (who used to go by the name Midori) was the person who posted the footage of the two SEGA games. The first one shows the new Shinobi, and you can tell that it’s Lizardcube (Streets of Rage 4, Wonder Boy: The Dragon’s Trap Remake) working on it because you can easily recognize the art style, which is quite fitting for the new installment of SEGA’s franchise that started in the 1980s. Ryan from the Bronx also shared a video of the Crazy Taxi reboot. This franchise is hard to talk about these days because there are rumors of reboots and remakes and who knows what will come out of the Japanese publisher first, and in this case we’re not even sure who is developing this project.

The footage is said to be from 2022, and the leaker (who, having been caught, is perhaps sharing what he hasn’t yet revealed?) says the game could arrive in 2027, but that sounds like a stretch. Late 2025, early 2026 seems more logical, and among the target platforms, the leaker says the Nintendo Switch 2 will be there (we don’t know the official name of the platform, of course). So SEGA is really serious about bringing their older IP (intellectual property) to a new audience. We’ve already seen a good example of this with Wonder Boy: The Dragon’s Trap Remake and the resurrection of Alex Kidd (and he was basically SEGA’s mascot before Sonic came along…), so it’s understandable if Shinobi and Crazy Taxi are in the company’s plans.
