After having seen this thirteen minute long demo, we can kinda understand why Microsoft is considering Crystal Dynamics‘ Rise of the Tomb Raider as one of the most important exclusive titles – it will only see the PlayStation 4 in November 2016, which is a pretty harsh timed exclusivity nowadays in our opinion.
Rise of the Tomb Raider will entirely respect the first game’s game style, taking over some things as well – but Lara Croft‘s movement is going to be much more fluid, plus she will have some other new skills compared to the reboot. In the video, we can see how she discovers, climbs to cliffs and eventually gets forced to escape in the last scenes. Those are looking really well, we wonder how the PlayStation 4 will make it look even better!
The game is hitting the Xbox One and the Xbox 360 in November this year, and the comments below the video really make those fanboyish comments about how Xbox owners win and get the game first – well, there is no console generation without a war going on, it’s been going on since the nineties, starting with SEGA‘s Mega Drive/Genesis versus Nintendo‘s SNES…
