Croc: Legend of the Gobbos Remaster: Argonaut Secures Surprising Exclusivity Deal! [VIDEO]

Argonaut Games, which was unexpectedly resurrected at the end of August, has announced what their first project will be released for, and here’s a surprise.

Somewhere we expected that no one would be left out in terms of consoles, so PlayStation 5, Xbox Series, PlayStation 4, Xbox One and Nintendo Switch will all get the game. Exclusivity hasn’t been mentioned yet: no, Argonaut hasn’t made a deal with the Epic Games Store, but with GOG! But that’s not stupid, because if you buy the remastered edition on CD Projekt’s platform, you’ll also get the original Croc: Legend of the Gobbos for free.

“The Croc remaster aims to reignite players’ imaginations with enhanced HD graphics, updated modern controls, and an authentic gameplay experience that will transport players back to the golden age of gaming. Croc: Legend of the Gobbos is both a nostalgic return for retro gamers and an exciting new adventure for newcomers. We are committed to bringing this remaster to the widest possible audience so that fans on PlayStation, Nintendo Switch, Xbox, and PC on GOG can experience the magic and joy of Croc,” said Argonaut Games founder Jez San in a press release.

“Croc represents the heart of our mission: to preserve and celebrate the legacy of gaming. By offering both the classic and remastered versions in one package, and keeping all of our games DRM-free, we’re ensuring that players not only relive the magic, but have a true sense of ownership. We are the ultimate destination for gamers who want to experience timeless classics the way they were meant to be played, and we couldn’t be happier that Croc will be a part of that adventure,” added Bartosz Kwietniewski, Head of Business Development at GOG.

The Croc: Legend of the Gobbos remaster will be released sometime this year (PlayStation 5, Xbox Series, PC (GOG), PlayStation 4, Xbox One, Nintendo Switch). But as we said with The Thing: Remastered, it’s not that far into the year!
