Red Dead Redemption’s surprise return has already been a massive hit with fans…
Red Dead Redemption fans can look forward to a brand new release this week, and the hype has already been a big hit. Even though Rockstar Games is hard at work on getting Grand Theft Auto VI out in 2025, it seems they haven’t forgotten about their other beloved franchise.
The Red Dead series began in 2004 with Red Dead Revolver and has been going from strength to strength ever since. The latest title, Red Dead Redemption 2, is considered one of the best single-player games of all time.
Now, in celebration of Red Dead Redemption’s upcoming PC release, the 2010 action-adventure game is being joined by Undead Nightmare.
“For the first time in its storied legacy, John Marston’s beloved journey can be experienced on PC in stunning new detail, as Red Dead Redemption and its iconic zombie horror companion story, Undead Nightmare, are coming to PC on October 29th,” reads the official blog post.
Initially released for PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360, and later ported to Nintendo Switch and PlayStation 4, the game is now coming to PC for the first time. As you can imagine, fans are thrilled. (Except for the price of the PC version, which not everyone is happy with, quite rightly…)
“Really interested in seeing how good this old game looks on modern hardware. I’m sure it won’t look amazing, but vs the launch consoles it’ll be night and day,” reads one comment on r/Games.
Another comment read: “This has been so long coming. It should have been released last year but I guarantee that they knew people would double or even triple dip with the staggered release of PS4 and Switch last year.”
“Rockstar truly are the masters of getting people to repurchase ports. Their games are just that good though. At least it’s finally happening for PC players.”
With most fans excited about the news, despite the long wait, it looks like the PC port of Red Dead Redemption will be a big hit after its release today.
