Many things are cheaper on Steam as part of a current sale—for example, these three indie action-adventure games, which, while remaining under the radar, are worth the price, especially now.
If you like action-packed, fun and atmospheric adventure games, I recommend these three titles to expand your Steam library! Although they are not given out for free but “only” at half price, it might be worth your while to pounce on this package. Because Sparklite, Foreclosed and Spirit of the North, although they don’t look very similar, they all have their own charm and fun gameplay.
If you haven’t heard of it yet, Sparklite is a funny, mostly positive-reviewed pixel-art action-adventure that takes you to a special world. Arm yourself for adventure and battle your enemies from above in isometric-view action with an arsenal of gadgets, weapons, and gear! Explore the dangerous corners of the procedurally generated world and fight real titans…
Spirit of the North is a third-person adventure and exploration game that captivated players with its environment and landscapes set in Iceland. What’s more, it has “very positive” reviews on Steam. “Play as an ordinary red fox whose story becomes entwined with the guardian of the Northern Lights, a magical spirit fox. As you journey over the mountains and under red-stained skies, you’ll discover more about your companion and land left in ruin,” – write the creators.
Perhaps Foreclosed (sorry, FORECLOSED) is the most visually interesting title of the three. The game perfectly combines the style and elements of comics with video games. Anyway, it’s a narrative-driven action-adventure game set in a Cyberpunk world full of action, suspense and experimental augmentations. We follow the story of Evan Kapnos, whose identity has recently been locked (as the title suggests): stripped of his job, brain implants, and access to the city’s Blockchain, he now must escape before his identity and implants are auctioned off.
A sequel to one of the Steam adventure games has already been announced
If you’ve played and enjoyed it or are going to play it, don’t forget that Spirit of the North 2 has become a reality. The title was announced more than a year ago at an Xbox event, where it was shown that we would be able to take on the skin of a fox again. We can explore an open world with beautiful landscapes, but this time we will not be tied to a ghost, but to a cute little bird. The release date is still unknown, but at least we know that it will be released for PS5, PC and Xbox Series X/S. Players were recently able to try out the demo at Steam Next Fest, which suggests that Infuse Studio’s new adventure game won’t be long in coming.
Did I manage to pique your interest? Then, on the link below (1), you will find the “Best of Merge vol.1” package, including the three games. (In any case, Sparklite itself is now on sale: it is offered with an 80% discount until November 18!)
