Indiana Jones and the Great Circle: Is the PlayStation 5 Port Not Far Away?

Although MachineGames’ title is now available for the Xbox Series and PC, the previously announced PlayStation 5 port of the game is still a little way off.

Last year saw a major change in Xbox’s exclusivity plans, with more and more games previously only available on Xbox and PC making the move to Sony’s PlayStation 5. A year later, we’re seeing the results of this, including Forza Horizon 5 coming to the PS5 (we reported when). In early February, it was confirmed that both Age of Empires 2: Definitive Edition and Age of Mythology: Retold will be coming to PlayStation 5 (the latter on March 4th).

Microsoft had previously confirmed that Indiana Jones and the Great Circle would be coming to PlayStation 5 sometime in the spring, but The Verge editor Tom Warren has narrowed that down a bit. According to him, the hated treasure hunter will make an appearance on Sony’s console in April.

Xbox’s sudden shift to a multiplatform strategy has been controversial, but Xbox boss Phil Spencer has defended the port of Indiana Jones and the Great Circle. Last year he said the Redmond tech giant’s franchises were as strong as they’ve ever been, but then explained that it’s still a business. He says the bar is set high at Microsoft, which is why the company has decided to bring more and more of its titles to the long-time competitor.

The multi-platform strategy was launched in 2024, when Sea of Thieves, Pentiment, Grounded, Hi-Fi Rush and many other games finally made their way to PlayStation 5, with many more to follow (including DOOM: The Dark Ages from id Software).

If the latest rumors about Indiana Jones and the Great Circle are true, PlayStation fans are in for a busy few months.

Still, she likes puzzle and story-oriented games, like Sherlock Holmes: Crimes & Punishments, which is her favourite title. She also played The Sims 3, but after accidentally killing a whole sim family, swore not to play it again. (For our office address, email and phone number check out our IMPRESSUM)
