Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2: Even the Czech Prime Minister Got It!

This is a great tribute to Warhorse Studios, the game’s developer. The idea came from a mayor, and it worked.

The Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2 dev team has just received another form of high-profile recognition — and this time, it wasn’t about sales figures. Like what happened with The Witcher 2 over a decade ago, a world leader has once again received a copy of an acclaimed RPG. Warhorse Studios proudly shared the news on Twitter, along with photos.

“During a recent government visit to Kuttenberg, Mayor Lukáš Seifert surprised Prime Minister Petr Fiala with a Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2 Collector’s Edition. We are incredibly proud to see our game presented at such a high level, and grateful for the support and recognition it receives within Czech society. We were told the Prime Minister’s team burst into jealous applause. Can’t blame them!” – Warhorse wrote.

The Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2 Collector’s Edition includes a cloth map, letter opener, a horseback statue of Henry, enamel pins, an ornate letter, and illuminated manuscript-style trading cards. It arguably surpasses what CD Projekt once achieved: Barack Obama, the former U.S. president, received a copy of The Witcher 2 complete with a Geralt bust, poker dice set, and art book — all signed by the developers.

Obama, not known to be a gamer, received the PC version (as the Xbox 360 port wasn’t released yet). Prime Minister Fiala, on the other hand, symbolically received Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2 on PlayStation 5.

Still, she likes puzzle and story-oriented games, like Sherlock Holmes: Crimes & Punishments, which is her favourite title. She also played The Sims 3, but after accidentally killing a whole sim family, swore not to play it again. (For our office address, email and phone number check out our IMPRESSUM)
