PlayStation 4: 3.10 firmware available now

Another firmware upgrade has come for the PlayStation 4, although this is not going to be a significant jump, as it was seen from the 2.54 version to the 3.00 one in the end of September. In fact, that even needed beta testing. We haven’t seen anything like that now, and for a good reason.

So, the 3.10 firmware is now available, and you can install it on your console already. What is improved with this firmware? Well, Sony themselves haven’t given a full list of notes, which itself is a weird move. We will be able to follow official, verified player accounts and use more stickers in our messages and… that’s it.

Let us guess: the usual stability improvements will be included in the patch notes. That’s not warrating much to jump this big in the version number. From 2.54 to 3.00, it made perfect sense, as it brought several things from YouTube direct streaming through getting the PS Plus options right from the main menu to posting small video clips to Twitter.
Honestly, this should be named 3.01 in our opinion. We just don’t understand Sony‘s logic.
