TECH NEWS – To put it into perspective, Pulsar’s product weighs up to ten times as much as the average gaming mouse…
As competitive gaming mice keep getting lighter and lighter, you would think doing the exact opposite would be absurd. Pulsar, however, not only decided to make a heavy mouse, but one that weighs a full 500 grams. The twist is that the SuperHeavy started as an April Fools’ joke, and only 20 units were released to the public. A YouTuber, Boardzy, managed to get one, and it turns out it is not actually that terrible. The mouse in question is a variation of the Pulsar Susanto-X, a black-and-pink model created with input from pro players Keven “Xccurate” Susanto and Jason “fOrsaken” Susanto. According to Boardzy, it obviously feels extremely sluggish, yet remains usable. That is genuinely high praise.
Boardzy’s unit weighs 485 grams, although the scale might be off, and the wireless mode does not work. The standard Susanto-X mouse was included with the model as well. If you are wondering how Pulsar managed to make such a heavy gaming mouse, the answer is very simple: they just put a huge copper weight inside the mouse and shipped it like that. Boardzy says it is amazing how dense the device feels. It could actually work as a brute-force training method. If you are used to a 30-gram mouse, try this thing for a day or two, and afterwards anything in the 60-to-70-gram range will feel featherlight.
Boardzy also claims that the Razer Viper V4 Pro felt hollow when he picked it up again afterwards. He adds, however, that when he took his hand off the mouse during testing, his wrist cracked, though he actually felt the tension more at the base of his thumb. He believes that if you played movement-heavy games with it all day long, you could seriously injure your wrist. On paper, the CrazyHeavy actually has pretty solid specs. With the XS01 sensor, it can reach up to 32,000 DPI and 750 IPS tracking speed, while its polling rate can go as high as 8000 Hz. If you were strong enough, you could technically play competitive games with the CrazyHeavy.
Boardzy will probably never use it again, but it should make a decent paperweight. It is not really a good mouse – it is just insane. We would say the name suits it perfectly.
