TECH PREVIEW – The HONOR 600 and HONOR 600 Pro devices bring flagship-level AI imaging and durability to a new level in the affordable segment.
HONOR has unveiled the new HONOR 600 series. Debuting at the Faculty of Electrical Engineering and Informatics at BME, the two new devices offer industry-unique AI-based image-to-video conversion technology (AI Image to Video 2.0), a flagship-grade 200-megapixel ultra-clear night camera, and an outstanding 6400 mAh long-life battery. Equipped with Snapdragon processors and an ultra-bright 8000-nit display, the devices have received the most refined exterior design yet in the history of the numbered series. The result is a device that goes beyond the limits of its category not only with its technical specifications, but also with the real user experience it delivers.
Introducing AI Image To Video 2.0 Technology
The creative power of the HONOR 600 series comes from AI Image to Video 2.0 technology. This is an integrated model that combines video generation, editing, and intelligent visual content analysis in a single workflow. Users can combine up to three photos with simple text prompts to create videos lasting 3-8 seconds. For complete freedom, both the opening and closing frames can be defined, while the extensive collection of cinematic templates makes it possible to achieve a movie-quality look with a single tap.
For unlimited creativity, video generation can be launched directly from the Gallery with a dedicated AI button, while the AI Photo Agent allows images to be edited through simple text commands. The creative toolkit is completed by motion editing features: the intelligent eraser can remove unwanted details, while the collage maker can be used to create striking, spatial compositions. The success of the series can also be clearly presented in numbers: with previous models, users have already created more than 13.4 million seconds of AI videos, which clearly shows the demand for this type of content creation.
It Does Not Let You Down In The Dark
The HONOR 600 series also tackles the biggest challenge in mobile photography, night shots, thanks to a 200-megapixel night camera supported by the latest-generation AiMAGE intelligent imaging system. The 1/1.4-inch sensor – the largest in its category – reaches a 2.24 μm equivalent pixel size through 16-in-1 pixel binning technology, while the E2E AI Remosaic process provides 24% higher light sensitivity. The imaging system is completed by a 12-megapixel ultra-wide-angle camera, a dedicated color temperature sensor, and a 50-megapixel front camera. The Pro version also includes a 50-megapixel periscope telephoto lens with 3.5x optical coverage, capable of up to 120x zoom.
Stability is guaranteed by HONOR’s self-developed SOIS system, supported by an AI-adaptive model, which offers CIPA 6.0-level stabilization on the main camera and CIPA 6.5-level stabilization on the Pro model’s telephoto lens. This performance is the strongest in the segment and rivals the capabilities of entry-level cameras. Color accuracy is handled by the AI Color Engine: this solution, now debuting in the premium mid-range, intelligently corrects white balance even in mixed lighting conditions, keeping colors lifelike in every situation.
The system is completed by algorithms further enhanced with AI Cloud Enhancement. AI-assisted night photography is available across the full range between 0.6x and 10x magnification. On the Pro model, this is expanded with additional features: AI night portrait mode offers several bokeh effects, while extended-range AI Super Zoom 2.0 and SuperMoon 2.0 technology guarantee spectacular photos of the Moon.
Premium Design With Exceptional Battery Life
A larger battery usually means a thicker device body, but the HONOR 600 series proves otherwise. Thanks to integrated cold-milling technology, the device has been shaped from a single piece – creating the most refined design language yet in the history of the numbered series. The satin matte metal frame, the perfectly symmetrical rounded edges unique in the Android field, and the industry’s thinnest bezel at just 0.98 mm give the device a premium appearance. The device is available in three colors: orange, gold white, and black, so everyone can find the version that fits their style.
Despite its slim design, the device houses a 6400 mAh battery. This is the largest-capacity battery in the history of the numbered series, increasing battery life without making the device any thicker or heavier than the previous generation. The AI-based battery management algorithm optimizes energy distribution between communication processes, processor performance, and touch sensing, delivering two-day battery life even under intensive use. The system has also been prepared for extremes: even in -20°C cold and with only 20% charge remaining, basic functions such as making calls, recording video, or taking photos continue to work smoothly.
Charging adapts to every situation: every member of the series supports 80 W wired HONOR SuperCharge technology, while the Pro model also offers 50 W wireless HONOR SuperCharge. In addition, both devices support 27 W wired reverse charging, which can even be used to charge an iPhone. The batteries are designed for a five-year lifespan and can withstand up to 1600 charging cycles.
An 8000-Nit Ultra-Bright Display And Outstanding Durability
The HONOR 600 series raises the bar for the visual experience: the 6.57-inch display arrives with 8000 nits of peak brightness, 458 ppi pixel density, a 120 Hz adaptive refresh rate, 3840 Hz PWM dimming, and the display of 1.07 billion colors. Sunlight Mode guarantees visibility outdoors through an improved brightness curve, optimized thermal management, and dynamic, content-dependent (APL-based) brightness control – providing up to 4000 nits of brightness at 20% APL. The HONOR Eye Comfort display protects the eyes even at high brightness through intelligent brightness and color optimization.
A display with capabilities like this needs robust protection. The IP68, IP69, and IP69K water and dust resistance ratings, together with SGS five-star premium shock and pressure resistance certification, guarantee that the device can withstand splashes, dust, and drops during everyday use.
Outstanding Performance And Seamless Apple Ecosystem Integration
The HONOR 600 is powered by the Snapdragon 7 Gen 4 processor, which delivers 27% higher CPU performance and 30% increased GPU performance compared with the previous generation for confident gaming and smooth use. The HONOR 600 Pro raises the bar even higher: with the 3-nanometer Snapdragon 8 Elite processor, it achieves a 45% CPU and 44% GPU speed increase. This means flagship-level response times even when running the most resource-intensive applications and handling intensive multitasking.
The HONOR 600 series functions as a perfect companion to the Apple ecosystem. The upgraded OneHop feature enables notification synchronization between HONOR and iPhone, one-tap file sharing with an iPhone or Mac, hotspot sharing, and Apple Watch message display. HONOR notes and files can be accessed on Mac as local content, bridging the gap between Android and Apple for better efficiency.
The two new devices will be available from May 4 through operators and retailers alike.
