Has Capcom’s Roadmap for the Coming Years Been Leaked?

If we are to believe an insider who has reportedly leaked quite a bit of information about Capcom, the Japanese publisher may have several surprises in store.

New leaks, allegedly from Capcom insiders, have revealed the company’s major plans for popular franchises, such as Resident Evil and Devil May Cry. These plans suggest that Capcom intends to build on the positive momentum generated by its remakes, reboots, and sequels in recent years. The information was compiled from Reddit and includes links to tweets by the well-known insider Dusk Golem and another Twitter user, StiviwonderN, whom Dusk Golem references. The information mentions a wide range of projects currently in development at Capcom, including the first Devil May Cry remake. No further details about the game have been released.

According to the leaks, several Resident Evil projects are in development, including the next mainline installment in the series. Resident Evil 10, referred to by the codename Project Redcode, reportedly features returning heroine Claire Redfield in the lead role. In addition to the series’ tenth game, the leakers mentioned several long-rumored Resident Evil remakes, including Resident Evil: Veronica, Resident Evil 0 (Project Chambers), and the original Resident Evil. The Resident Evil 1 remake (Project Fallen) reportedly entered full-scale development only recently, despite having been in development since 2022 or 2023. Both Resident Evil 10 and the Resident Evil 0 remake will use the REX Engine.

Regarding Capcom’s latest Resident Evil game, leaked information offered a glimpse into the upcoming story DLC for Requiem. Although the game’s director had confirmed the development of such DLC, details about its content have been scarce until now. According to the leak, several story DLCs are in development for Requiem, with the first featuring fan-favorite super spy Ada Wong. Ada’s absence from the base game sparked controversy among fans, so this DLC may alleviate their frustration.

While the Resident Evil: Requiem mini-game DLC has received mixed reviews, narrative-driven content set in the game’s eerie, somber world is likely to be well-received by fans.
