The game from Wych Elm and Team17 leans toward the metroidvania style while aiming to be survival horror as well, and it has now received its release date.
Private investigator Red Walker finds himself in Silver Pines, a seemingly abandoned American small town that looks as if everyone suddenly left it behind. Shortly afterward, a mysterious phone call points him toward his next move: “Find Eddie Velvet” – and that is where the descent into darkness begins. Silver Pines combines classic survival horror puzzle-solving, resource management, and inventory management with the disorienting, sprawling exploration of a dreamlike small town, where players slowly unravel its secrets and nightmares.
Set out on a journey thick with dread and atmosphere. Haunted by the shadows of its past, Silver Pines is waiting to reveal its dark secrets. This is a love letter to classic survival horror, seen from a distinctive 2.5D perspective. Fight the town’s horrors or keep your distance from them while searching for resources and solutions to the puzzles blocking your path. Filled with locked doors and hidden routes, every corner may lead to an undiscovered clue, a useful resource, or something lurking in the dark.

Silver Pines will launch on October 8 for PlayStation 5, Xbox Series, Nintendo Switch 2, PC, and Nintendo Switch. A PC demo is now available as well, and it can be found on Steam.
