TECH NEWS – The HONOR Magic V6 received two major honours at the Global Mobile Awards Asia, also known as the GLOMO Awards Asia, during Mobile World Congress Shanghai. The foldable device won both the Best Smartphone in Asia and Disruptive Device Innovation categories, making it the first product in GLOMO history to secure both awards at the same time.
HONOR says the Magic V6 outperformed major industry rivals, including devices such as the iPhone 17 Pro, in the two categories. The company views the result as validation of its continued work in the foldable-device market and of the technological solutions built into the model.
The HONOR Magic V6 combines an ultra-thin design with a record-capacity battery, flagship durability and compatibility across Apple’s ecosystem. Its intelligent AI assistants and multitasking tools designed for the larger display position the device as more than a premium smartphone, with HONOR also presenting it as a productivity tool for everyday work.
The phone includes a 6660 mAh battery, which HONOR describes as the largest capacity ever placed inside a foldable smartphone. Its approximately 25 percent silicon content and 921 Wh/L energy density are intended to increase battery life substantially without causing a major increase in the device’s size or weight.
This is not HONOR’s first GLOMO recognition of the year. At MWC Barcelona in March, the company also received the Disruptive Device Innovation award for bringing silicon-carbon battery technology to market and applying it in commercial products.
