Nightdive Studios, Slipgate Ironworks, Ritual Entertainment, and 3D Realms could have chosen a better release date for SiN: Reloaded.
SiN: Reloaded, from Nightdive Studios, offers a fully remastered version of Ritual Entertainment’s 1998 shooter. This story-driven, first-person shooter features memorable characters, horrific enemies, and a devastating arsenal that pushed the Quake II engine to its limits. Play as security consultant Colonel John R. Blade and enter a dystopian near-future world to take on the seductively evil Doctor Elexis Sinclaire. When Elexis, the CEO of SinTEK Industries, begins flooding the streets with a DNA-altering drug, it’s time to reevaluate the laws of morality. As Blade, fighting crime is your religion. Now, you’re going to make Elexis pay for her sins by taking on her unholy army of genetically engineered mutants.
SiN was celebrated for its groundbreaking interactivity at every level. Hack computer terminals with DOS-style code, use elevators and security cameras to wreak havoc, and zip around in a forklift, patrol boat, or helicopter. Your actions have consequences, creating branching paths as the game progresses. SiN also pioneered the ability to knock weapons out of opponents’ hands and sustain area-specific damage from their attacks.
SiN: Reloaded includes the Wages of SiN expansion pack. In this pack, you take on a diabolical mafia boss who has created a new army of dangerous mutants. Both games have been optimized with the KEX Engine for play on modern systems. The graphics have been beautifully remastered with new textures. Control schemes have been modernized, and maps have been improved with Nightdive’s precision.
Play the original SiN and the SiN: Wages of Sin expansion pack, both of which have been optimized using the KEX Engine. The games feature beautifully remastered graphics with HD textures and models, up to 4K resolution at 144 frames per second, anti-aliasing, and upgraded 2D screens and menu art. The control schemes have been overhauled and the user interface modernized. The maps have been improved throughout the game. You can swap between the remastered visuals and the original SiN Gold version. There are also brand-new achievements. Higher-resolution Zak Belika tracks have been mixed and engineered by Chris Mock.
SiN: Reloaded is set to release on September 24 for the PlayStation 5, Xbox Series, Nintendo Switch 2, PC, PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and Nintendo Switch. Control Resonant. Silent Hill: Townfall. These will also be released on this day.
