The Last Guardian: Out This Year, No Ifs And Buts! [VIDEO]

Sony decided to break all rumors and come out with a statement: no matter what, The Last Guardian will be out on PlayStation 4 by the end of this year!

It’s about time, though – development started in 2007 on the PlayStation 3, and Fumito Ueda‘s presence is guaranteed to make The Last Guardian a success. Ueda previously created games such as ICO and Shadow of the Colossus, making him a powerful character in the Sony crew.

And he’s back with full force. Thanks to IGN First, we got to see around 13 minutes of gameplay, showing the initial get-to-know-you between a little boy and Trico. How did we even end up in this cave? Can we trust this beast? These questions, as well as the ambiance of the videos, show Ueda’s genius: it’s an art that catches the player off guard in mere moments.

Let’s hope that Sony‘s E3 conference will provide an exact launch date for The Last Guardian.
