A little update has a reference to the port.
We’re glad that Bayonetta has received a PC version (and the players, going by the sales, seem to think the same), but PlatinumGames silently made a small, 22-kilobyte update, which places an avatar of Sam Gideon, the protagonist of Vanquish, into Bayonetta’s EXTRAS folder. Who else could have found this secret than the NeoGAF forum members?
With this update, it’s almost 100% sure that SEGA, the publisher of Bayonetta and Vanquish, is already working on the fast-paced TPS’ PC port. Putting a teaser as such into Bayonetta was a clever solution.
After Vanquish, it wouldn’t be surprising to see Anarchy Reigns follow these two games to Steam. PlatinumGames isn’t saying no to PC ports, and SEGA seems money in the situation. It’s a win-win to all parties.
The PC port of Bayonetta got a really small 22kb update today. People looked into it, and this appeared on the EXTRAS folder (Vanquish) pic.twitter.com/VAPARwMEp5
