Capcom – seeing how its game is less than a week from launch – has created a story recap for the franchise.

Devil May Cry 5 comes roughly seventeen years after the first and about eleven years after the fourth game, so it’s not surprising to see Capcom edit such a video. The joke here is that Devil May Cry 2 is almost completely ignored in the trailer, which makes sense (let’s just say that DMC2 is weak – we will never forget defeating the helicopter boss with guns only, effectively standing in one place…(, but at least we can understand what happened and why throughout the games. (And 2 is now set before 4. They didn’t really explain that, but let’s not go into this subject…)

Devil May Cry 5 is out on March 8, less than a week away, on PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC. Technically, it could be a massive success: the RE Engine has proven itself recently in Resident Evil 2 Remake as well.
