Resident Evil Village – Leaks About The Story And Enemies

Resident Evil Village is the leakiest boat on the sea of video games, with insiders constantly leaking things from the game.

Several of these leaks have already proven to be true. Well, at the Biohazard Declassified, the guys fetched their most extensive material from RE Village so far with the help of the well-known and so far pretty accurate Capcom informant Dusk Golem, who have detailed the story and also described the opponents. This info is from the Resident Evil Village demo, which several people may have tried before. Needless to say, WARNING: SPOILERS, so only continue if you don’t mind if we shoot a few things from Resident Evil Village down for you.

Is everybody gone who didn’t want to spoil the story for themselves? Okay …

Details of the prologue

As we already know, Resident Evil Village will be a direct sequel to RE7, again starring Ethan Winters. We also know from the first RE Village preview that Chris Redfield will show up and do something really nasty to Mia.

Well, according to Biohazard Declassified, RE Village will open with a prologue in which Mia reads a fairytale to her little girl named Rose. During this time, Ethan can explore the house and find notes that say that his family was cleared of the “mold” that was rampant in RE7, and that Ethan attended some combat training thanks to Chris. We then take Rose out of Mia’s hands and put her in bed, then go downstairs where Mia is just making dinner. A siren is heard from outside, and there is a hint that the Winters family has moved to Europe.

Just as Ethan tries to discuss what happened in RE7 with Mia, Chris Redfield and two masked figures break into the Winters house and shoot down Mia. Chris then kidnaps Ethan and Rose, but the vehicle they travel overturns, leading to a scene in which Ethan has to survive in a snowy, wooded setting. Eventually, Ethan recovers in a cabin where he meets an old man (who dies very soon anyway). Ethan is eventually forced to defend the house from his enemies in RE-style.

Enemies and characters

As we’ve heard before, there will be werewolf-like semi-human, semi-animal creatures in Resident Evil Village, and according to the latest leaks, they’ve been given a pact-like AI and will try to encircle and attack your back. There will also be other opponents in addition to the aforementioned “Beastmen” human-animal monsters, such as opponents named “Gorilla Man” who attack with a huge axe, and who are the leaders of the Beastmen horde, and a horseman attacking with a spear.

As for the characters, in addition to the unfortunate old man, there will also be an elderly woman from the cabin who we’ve already seen in the first trailer, who will be practically a new version of the RE4 merchant. She will be able to sell you stuff, develop weapons for you, and will also serve as a source of information about what is happening nearby. RE Village seems to have a weapon development tree that will allow new weapon parts to be unlocked.

In any case, we treat this news with caution, although Dusk Golem and Biohazard Declassified have proven to be reliable in the past.

Resident Evil Village is expected for PC, Xbox Series X and PS5 in 2021.
