It was expected to happen: as the PlayStation 5‘s and the Xbox Series‘ launch are close to the game’s arrival, it was a question of time when their respective ports get announced.

All In! Games and 505 Games (we still can’t get over the fact that there are two publishers, albeit the latter is responsible for the console distribution) and One More Level, 3D Realms, and Slipgate Ironworks (three dev teams – confused enough yet?) confirmed on 505’s website that the PlayStation 5, the Xbox Series X, and the Xbox Series S will also get the game… but only in 2021. However, the PlayStation 4 > PlayStation 5 and the Xbox One > Xbox Series upgrade will be free, which is fair. (And weird, seeing that 505 is involved: Control: Ultimate Edition, which is required for the next-gen upgrade on consoles, will be a paid upgrade for many customers!)

Ghostrunner launches first on PlayStation 4, Xbox One, Nintendo Switch, and PC (Steam, GOG, Epic Games Store) on October 27 for 30 USD/EU.
