The mere announcement that GTA VI is in development has become one of the most viral Rockstar posts of all time…
We’re barely waiting for the new Grand Theft Auto, and although nothing is known about it yet, the rumoured GTA VI already boasts a record: it’s the most-liked tweet from a video game company in Twitter history, far ahead of the competition.
Recently, Dexerto discovered that three months after its release, the official confirmation from the makers of Red Dead Redemption 2 about a new GTA has nearly 600,000 likes.
More than 599,400 people have “liked” the post shared by Rockstar Games.
We’re talking about a post with no pictures, just a statement announcing the development.
And what are the other tweets that got the most likes? The second is quite strange, with 510,500 likes, we found a message from PlayStation announcing the postponement of the PS5 2020 launch event in June. In third place, we have confirmation of the release date for Splatoon 3, a relatively recent announcement accompanied by a gameplay trailer.
Coming back to GTA VI, although Rockstar hasn’t said much about it, the news is that the release date will be between 2024 and 2025. An insider report from Tom Henderson, confirmed by journalist Jason Schreier and the VGC portal, also revealed the first details about the possible location and protagonist.
GTA V recently made the jump to PS5 and Xbox Series.
