Developer Blackbird Interactive has announced the postponement of the planned release of the strategy game Homeworld 3, stressing that “the health of the developers is paramount”.
Homeworld 3, the new installment in the popular real-time strategy game saga that was started by Relic Entertainment, has announced that it will be delayed until 2023. The game was originally scheduled for release later this year. But as the study has announced on its Twitter account, they have made the decision to postpone it until next year:
“Making Homeworld 3 of the highest quality possible is a top priority for Gearbox Publishing and Blackbird Interactive because they recognize the special place this series holds in the hearts of gamers.”

The last numbered installment in the franchise was Homeworld 2, released in 2003. Three years ago, however, Gearbox released a prequel titled Deserts of Kharak to mostly favorable reviews.
Homeworld 3 is due out in the first half of 2023. It will be available on Windows, Steam, and the Epic Games Store.Homeworld 3 will be released in the first half of 2023.
