MOVIE NEWS – Timothée Chalamet got career advice from Leonardo DiCaprio, and we won’t see the young actor in superhero movies if he takes it!

Leonardo DiCaprio has undergone quite a transformation in his career; although his talent was no less talented when he was young, it was just that it was overshadowed by his typical good-looking boy roles, which made him disliked by many male fans. Then things changed when Martin Scorsese and Quentin Tarantino discovered her for themselves. Timothée Chalamet could follow a similar path, as after his (romantic and family) dramas (such as Call Me by Your Name), he earned the role of Paul Atreides in Dune, a much bigger force with much more responsibility. And Chalamet received a bit of career advice from Leonardo DiCaprio, warning him against superhero movies.

Vogue magazine spoke to the young star about Bones and All, which was a big hit at the Venice International Film Festival, and he revealed that DiCaprio gave him some spiritual advice back in 2018. And the “seasoned old fox’s” wisdom was “no hard drugs and no superhero movies!” Well, so far, Timothée Chalamet has managed to live up to that because we’ve yet to see him in a Marvel or DC movie. Of course, we don’t know if he has done hard drugs in his life, but that remains to be seen. And Leonardo DiCaprio has also tied the knot, as far as superhero movies are concerned, as he has also tried to keep a fair distance from masked and costumed vigilantes. In Iron Mask, he only wore a mask and dispensed justice. And it’s not a fantasy that he survived a bear attack in The Return with the bear playing with him because the true story is that Hugh Glass, played by Leo in the survival film, was really that tough.

The two actors co-starred in last year’s satire Don’t Look Up! DiCaprio will next be seen in Killers of the Flower Moon, Martin Scorsese’s crime film, in 2023. And the debate about superhero movies has been going on for a long time, with Scorsese sparking it off a few years ago and Dune creator Denis Villeneuve broadly agreeing with the veteran director that Marvel movies aren’t really movies. Elizabeth Olsen, among others, has argued against them and is even angry at them for belittling blockbusters, which she says have a lot of talented professionals and actors working on them.
