Star Wars Jedi: Survivor confirms a popular fan theory that’s been rampant online since the game’s early reveal trailers.
Star Wars Jedi: Survivor has confirmed an important location for the game. The game is a sequel to the popular Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order and early indications are extremely promising.
Previews for the game have confirmed that the game expands on the original in many ways, refining the mechanics without reinventing the wheel.
For many, this will be great news. Fallen Order provided a great foundation to build on. And the Souls-like mechanics reimagined the universe. The original sold exceptionally well for Respawn Entertainment, so it’s no surprise that the developer has been given another chance to do the series.
EA’s Andy McNamara confirmed on Twitter that Survivor would see players explore Coruscant, the planet from the popular prequel trilogy. In the original game, players could explore worlds known from the Star Wars storyline. These include Dathomir, Ilum and Kashyyyk. This trend of bringing back famous locations seems to continue in the new game. In the tweet, McNamara also confirms that the game will feature their “largest environment to date”. While he doesn’t directly ensure how big Coruscant will be in the game, it’s a possible indication that the planet has plenty for players to explore.
Fans have been speculating about Coruscant’s return since it seemed to have briefly appeared in the Star Wars Jedi: Survivor reveal trailer at the Game Awards in December.
In the quick shot, the new character Bode Akuna can be seen helping Cal up onto a ledge against the backdrop of Coruscant’s iconic nightlife. In Star Wars history, planets often look remarkably similar. Tattooine and Jakku are perfect examples. However, when Star Wars Jedi: Survivor launches later this month, it seems like players will finally be able to visit the planet from the prequel trilogy.
Three new Star Wars movies were recently announced at Star Wars Celebration. As well as several TV series that will ensure the franchise remains at the forefront of pop culture. As the past has shown, Disney will never satisfy everyone with its ambitions. But there are still millions of fans out there who are still extremely excited about the future of Star Wars.

To be clear, Stig never claimed Coruscant was a “freely explorable open world.” He only confirmed it as one of the destinations in the game. Survivor has amazing planets to explore and our biggest environments to date but wanted to be clear on what was said. Thx! https://t.co/fCjGhIZjt0
